A HISTORY OF COSTUME IN IRELAND

What have people on the island of Ireland been wearing all these years? We've been here since around 8000 BC and we haven’t been naked that whole time.

I worked on this project from 2015 - 2024, and I’m hoping to publish a book of all the illustrations very soon.

I drew reconstructions and interpretations of people’s clothes after researching sources like archaeological reports and theories, ethnographic reports and actual artefacts in museums and at sites.

The project covers almost 10,000 years, so as you can imagine there are a lot of source materials.
