From 2015 - 2024 I worked on my project A History of Costume in Ireland.
This project attempted answer the question “what have people on the island of Ireland been wearing all these years?”
I drew reconstructions and interpretations of people’s clothes after researching sources like archaeological reports and theories, ethnographic reports and actual artefacts in museums and at sites.
The project covers almost 10,000 years, so as you can imagine there are a lot of source materials.
I’ve compiled a bibliography of written and online sources. Each tab in the spreadsheet is a separate era, that corresponds to the eras as they are organised on this website.
